Community gathering (webinar) Wednesday October 27, 2021 – Starting with Asynchronous; Engaging Learners in All Modes
Our next webinar takes place on Wednesday October 27, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am PDT. Our discussion will focus on designing and teaching an “asynchronous first” flipped course that can become the backbone of your HyFlex course. We will spend time sharing ideas and practices for engaging your asynchronous students as well as bringing them together in discussion with the synchronous students as much as possible. We’ll share some of our design and teaching practices and tools we use, describing how and why we use them, and discussing how well they work within our own teaching practices. We will also talk about the challenges that come with this approach. We encourage all of you to bring your own methods to share and questions for us to discuss. The HyFlex Learning Community blog includes posts dating back to 2010, the early days of HyFlex development and continues to add weekly posts relevant to current practices, trends, and responses to our shared experiences. The Forum includes discussion areas for community members to talk about strategy, faculty and student experience, implementing and adminstering HyFlex, and more.
We invite you to join our community, so you can contribute your voice: your questions, answers, ideas and suggestions for all of us to learn from. Membership is free and easy. No problem – much of the content in this site is available for anyone to view and learn from, but you won’t be able to add your voice until you register.
